This house built of Dolomite stones is located in the old historical section of the village Casan (population 250). It is situated on the mountain Dolada that is over 2000 m high; the village is at an elevation of 500. Dolada Mountain is known to paragliders. The Lake of Santa Croce (no motor boats allowed) is about a 10 minutes drive away. This quiet mountain village offers the tranquillity and beauty of nature. It is a good location for day trips, outdoor activities (skiing in winter and hiking and biking in summer) or just taking life easy in the mountain air. This is a perfect spot to take in the beauty of the high Dolomite Mountains of Monte Cristallo, Tre Cime, Civetta, Pelmo and Marmolata. The largest city nearby is Belluno (8 km), a beautiful medieval city, which is the summer residence of the Venetians. The house is 80 km north of Venice and 60 km south of Cortina d’Ampezzo, a ski resort with international reputation. It is a special house and area for ‘slow travelers’ and ‘slow food’ lovers.
